From humble beginnings to a highly reputed supplier.

Thanks to its persistence and forward-looking strategy, Tanner & Co., established in 1983, has grown into today's ATS-Tanner Group, which has made a name for itself in innovative transport packaging solutions on an international level. The Group employs approximately 80 people.

2007

Enhancement of the group’s image by changing the company name from "ATS Automatic Taping Systems" to "ATS-Tanner Banding Systems AG" (Zug) and introducing a new corporate identity.

2005

Establishment of subsidiaries in Spain (ATS-Tanner Sistemas de Enfajado S.A. with headquarters in Andoain) and Canada (ATS-Tanner Banding Systems Inc. with headquarters in Oakville)

2001

Establishment of the subsidiary in the Netherlands (ATS-Tanner Banding Systems B.V. with headquarters in Almere)

1998

The first step abroad: Establishment of the subsidiary in Germany. ATS-Tanner GmbH Banding Systems with headquarters in Bergisch-Gladbach begins its activities as a sales company selling and servicing banding machines.

1996

The Swiss company Tanner & Co. AG takes over the representation of the leading European manufacturers of strapping machines, Gerd Mosca AG, as well as responsibility for sales, consulting and servicing in Switzerland.

1994

Tanner & Co. AG moves into its own, newly renovated buildings in Meisterschwanden. The company has 13 employees.

1993

Tanner & Co. is converted into a joint-stock corporation on the occasion of the company’s 10-year jubilee.

1990 ff

In the early 1990s the US-2000 banding machine with the revolutionary ultra-sonic welding system for sealing is developed and produced in house.Together with suppliers, special materials are developed in-house.  Tanner & Co. sells the US-2000 in Switzerland and ATS Automatic Taping Systems AG sells it worldwide.

1988

Establishment of ATS Automatic Taping Systems AG with headquarters in Zug and thus the beginning of the ATS-Tanner Group. The new corporation assumes responsibility for international machine sales.

1987

Expansion of the product palette with table banding machines, which are sold in Switzerland

1983

Alois Tanner establishes Tanner & Co. in Fahrwangen. Start-up as a business for stretching, strapping and shrinking machines.
