A band is a narrow strip of paper or film wrapped around the packaging and sealed. It provides space for your brand, product information and codes. Depending on the packaging, it can also hold the tray and lid together or bundle several products.
ATS-Tanner offers banding solutions for ready meals and bowls. With a suitable printing system, variable information can also be printed directly onto the band during the banding process.
When is a band an alternative to a cardboard sleeve?
Unlike carton sleeves, bands are sealed and closed during the packaging process. This can be done using predefined lengths or flexibly, depending on the product size and the required band tension. This makes banding much more flexible than carton sleeves. The adjustable band tension ensures that bands do not slip, even without adhesive.
